At Materasso, we will make your bed to your satisfaction. The choice of each part of the bed is yours. What all will meet your requirements?

• Dimensions – we produce a classic king size bed with dimensions 180 × 200 cm, but also oversized and extended beds 180 × 210 or 220 cm. Need an extra large bed? That’s no obstacle for us either. We can also produce a giant family bed with dimensions of 270 × 230 cm.
• Sleeping system – the body of the bed can have a boxspring system, where instead of a grate, a spring filling is placed in the base of the bed. We also produce beds with a grate, with or without storage space. The sleeping system can have both an adjustable and a tilting grid.
• Headboards – you can choose from a wide range of bed headboards, which we can size to suit your needs.
• Upholstery – hundreds of fabric structures to choose from. In terms of colours, our palette includes over 1,000 shades.
• Feet – the feet of the bed can be wooden, metal or plastic.

Materasso is a family-owned company with a history that dates back to 1995. In the beginning we focused on the production of medical and orthopedic mattresses, anti-allergic blankets, pillows and decorative blankets.

In 2009, we started manufacturing continental beds and mattresses, which we produce according to our customers’ wishes. Since 2012 we have also started to produce stylish sofa bags. Annually, 300,000 mattresses and 70,000 mattresses leave our workshop.

We supply comfortable mattresses, quality mattresses and designer beds not only to homes, but also to luxury hotels. We sell not only in Slovakia, but also ship to the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Finland, Denmark, Great Britain, Croatia, Italy, Ukraine, Lithuania, South Africa and Panama.

Quality and handmade are our top priority

We manufacture our products in Slovakia. You can find us in the heart of Orava, specifically in the village of Oravské Veselé. We use modern machines for processing, but a large part of production cannot be done without human help. The machines cannot cope with the finest details, which are extremely important for the quality of the product.

• Customized mattress production – Skilled hands help with layering the foams and other materials that make up the core. They are also in charge of the details in the making of the cover, such as sewing the zipper.
• Grids made to measure – Our employees implement the fasteners and anchoring material and assemble the entire grate.
• Made-to-measure beds – we can’t do without human skill, especially when it comes to upholstery, which has the biggest impact on the overall design and appearance.

• FSC certificate – declares that we work with wood that comes from sustainably managed forests.
• ISO 9001 – we comply with the ISO 9001 quality management system during production.
• Safe adhesive – we use certified, health-safe SIMALFA adhesive from Switzerland for joining materials.
• Certificate of the State Institute for Drug Control (SR) – our mattresses can be found on the list of registered medical devices.
• Öko-Tex Standard 100 certificate – this is an international testing and certification system that focuses on textiles. It confirms the production of health-safe materials.

We follow trends, but stick to tradition

Time is always moving forward, so our experts keep a close eye on what innovations are being applied in the production of bedroom furniture and accessories. For example, we were the first in Europe to treat our mattresses with lavender impregnation, which protects the bed from insects and moths, but also helps with insomnia. The lavender scent is calming and promotes quality sleep.

We do not have the beds in stock, but we produce them after receiving the order. As soon as you visit one of our dealers or consult our catalogue and choose the bed parts, the furniture production starts. What all do you choose?

Sleeping system

We offer a total of 5 sleeping systems or corps. For their production we use quality solid wood from sustainably managed forests. The solid frame is a guarantee of long life. We offer:

• BOXSPRING 22-32 – the boxspring or continental bed offers the most comfortable rest. The solid frame is filled with a spring system on which the sleeping mattress is laid. The mattress is not recessed in the frame. It blends perfectly with the boxspring and stays in place thanks to the special mattress cover. The body has no storage space.
• BOXSPRING Mobil – the body of the bed is complemented by an adjustable grid with an electric motor, which allows comfortable adjustment of the inclination of the head and lower limbs.
• DESIGN BED with UP MAXI flip – unlike the boxspring, it has a large undivided storage space. Access to it is easy thanks to durable fittings and pistons.
• DESIGN BED UP Metal – has a special grid with a metal structure, which is designed for laying one large double mattress. Under the mattress there is a storage compartment, which can be effortlessly accessed thanks to pneumatic pistons.
• DESIGN BED UP BV/NV – the body is identical to the UP Metal, but has wooden hinged grates and two separate mattresses. The body is available with or without storage space.

Headboard and upholstery selection

With the choice of the body, you also choose the headboard and the fabric with which the entire frame and headboard will be upholstered. We have a choice of fabric covers, but also leather and eco leather upholstery. The materials are available in hundreds of textures. Of course, there are also fabrics with special treatments for easy cleaning or liquid resistance. In terms of colours, you can choose from 1,200 shades.

We offer a total of 30 different frontal treatments. Just choose the design and tell us the dimensions. We can also produce giant fronts with dimensions of, for example, 300 × 600 cm without any problems.

Feet

Even a detail like the feet will be to your liking. In our catalogue we have wooden, metal and plastic bed legs. In addition to the manufacturing material, you can also choose the shape and bar. We offer the footboards with different heights, from 3 to 13 cm. If you vacuum and mop your home with a robotic vacuum cleaner, we definitely recommend choosing feet higher than 10 cm. This allows the vacuum cleaner to get under the bed comfortably.

To match your bedroom

In addition to upholstered beds with high headboards, we also offer other upholstered furniture. These include armchairs, stools and footstools. We upholster the furniture in the same fabric to match your bed perfectly. However, you can also opt for a different fabric texture or shade to create your favourite material layers in your bedroom, adding a unique touch to the room.
