Slatted grate with pre-stressed slats. The frame of the grate is made of laminated (higher strength) beech wood. The slats are made of Siberian birch wood. The grating has reinforced slats and sleeves in the middle part. These are not only swivelled but also raised, so they work much better with the mattress. A central stabilising strap prevents the slats from breaking under extreme point loads. The frame and slats of the mattress are wrapped with a carbon film, which protects the wooden parts better against atmospheric influences and is also gentler on the mattress cover.
