It is mainly used under spring mattresses or foam mattresses with a minimum height of 18 cm. The airiness of the mattress is preserved when using a solid mattress. The gaps between the slats on a solid slatted mattress should be no more than 6 cm. Beech wood has long been used as a material for furniture production because of its excellent properties. The trees from which the grid is made grew in Slovak forests.
