Technology: physiosystem 5 and 7

Zonal mattresses are specially designed for greater comfort and full-body support during sleep. We offer mainly 5 and 7 zone mattresses. There are also 3-zone mattresses available, but we do not manufacture them due to their lower comfort.

  • 5-zone mattress (physiosystem 5)
  • 7-zone mattress (physio system 7)

5-zone mattress (physiosystem 5)

The 5-zone mattress offers optimal support for different parts of the body during sleep. These are the zones for the head, shoulders, lower back, thighs and legs. All zones are then designed to ensure the correct position of the spine, which should be level during sleep. A 5-zone mattress provides enough support for the part of the body where you need it most.

7-zone mattress (physio system 7)

The best quality mattress among the zone mattresses has even 7 zones, which provide the best support for the body during sleep.

  • Zone 1 – Head and cervical spine area – This zone provides proper head and neck support to prevent frequent cervical spine pain.
  • Zone 2 – Shoulder area – This zone is softer to allow the shoulders to sink into during side sleep. The zone helps relieve soreness in the cervical spine and shoulders.
  • Zone 3 – Lumbar area – The lumbar zone, which is essential for lower back comfort, is the firmest part of the mattress. It provides real support to the back and prevents the spine from arching during sleep. On average, 40% of a person’s body weight falls on this area of the mattress during sleep. A soft mattress without additional firmness in the lumbar zone forces the spine to remain in an unnatural arched position. This causes the muscles to contract and tighten during sleep, resulting in stiffness and back pain. The lumbar zone is very important as it can relieve tension in the back.
  • Zone 4 – Pelvic Area – Zone 4 allows the hips to gently sink into the mattress, relaxing and aligning the spine.
  • Zone 5 – Knee Zone – The knee zone has the same strength as the lumbar zone. It provides proper support for the knees and helps relieve joint pain.
  • Zone 6 – Lower Leg Area – The zone for the lower legs has the same strength as the zone for the shoulder area. This will provide much needed comfort and relief for tired legs.
  • Zone 7 – Foot and Ankle Area – This zone has the same strength as the zone designated for the head and neck area. Again, it provides comfort and relief from pain and pressure in the foot and ankle area.
