FSC® certification is a trusted system for tracking and guaranteeing the origin of wood materials. Materasso can thus demonstrate that its products are made from well-managed FSC® -certified forests and other controlled sources. All our wood products can be supplied with this FSC® certificate.
MATERASSO Slovakia, s. r. o. has been following the rules of the quality management system for more than 10 years in the development, production and sale of mattresses, children’s mattresses, blankets, bedspreads, pillows as well as the production and sale of beds and bed mattresses. And all this in terms of customer requirements, market developments and new trends in materials and healthy sleep, ISO 9001, legal and other requirements.
Healthy sleep is a priority for us. That’s why we carefully consider every detail that affects our health when making mattresses. One of the most problematic materials in mattress manufacturing is undoubtedly adhesives. Commonly used solvent-based adhesives release various volatile substances. These chemicals have been shown to irritate the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, the skin and possibly the digestive tract. Their effect on the central nervous system and blood formation is also significant. Our company works with the revolutionary, patent-protected, natural Swiss glue SIMALFA. This adhesive is completely environmentally friendly and meets even the strictest health standards. SIMALFA adhesive is certified by the German Hohenstein institute and has the ECO-PASSPORT certificate confirming that this product does not contain any harmful substances. This adhesive is one of the few to meet the requirements of the OEKO-TEX standard 100 – class I – the most stringent standard. It is even suitable for products intended for toddlers. This adhesive is water-based, whereas standard adhesives are solvent-based. Only pure water evaporates from the adhesive we use after application, compared to the solvents that evaporate with standard adhesives. This is one more proof that the ecology of production, quality and health safety of our products is an absolute priority for us.
All our cover fabrics are Öko-Tex Standard 100 certified. It is an international testing and certification system for textiles made from only health-safe materials. It was developed in 1992.
Certificate issued by the Certification Body for Products Institute for Testing and Certification, a. s. (ITC), based in Zlín (Czech Republic), confirms that the mattresses Prezident coconut, Sultán hydrolatex plus, Sultán latex, Premier thermopur, SOYACELL, Prezident royal, Viscogreen, Natur biogreen, Admirál bio hydrolatex, Admirál bio-ex latex, meet the essential requirements of Council Directive No. 93/42/EEC of 14. June on medical devices and the relevant European harmonised standards.
In July 2002, Materasso, s. r. o. was the first mattress manufacturer in Slovakia to be awarded the Cígler N ° 21/2002 certificate for two products, namely the new mattress Premiér bio luxus and the mattress Adamíra bio-ex latex excellent.
